Hi....
First of all I'm sorry for what's going on in your relationship.
People cheat because they are not getting what they need out of a relationship.
I've known people who cheated because
1. They're not getting the attention they need
2. They're partner abuses them either emotionally, mentally or physically.
3. There's no intimacy in the relationship
4. There sexual needs aren't being satisfied
5. There's partner restricts them
6. Just plain old selfishness.
Whatever the case cheating is never acceptable. You either be faithful or find somebody else who you think can satisfy your needs.
I suggest you have a meaningful discussion with your partner and bring everything out in the open. Whatever the outcome then you can decide if you should continue with the relationship or move on.
I understand that it hurts because I've been there, but I can assure you it only gets better. Keep you head up! |

I wonder the same thing. Right now something like dat is going on where I work. And with 2 married people to boot. I trying coming up with an excuse, thinking why they are doing what they are doing. Can't find any.
First I thought, maybe the women fell for the sweet talks. Maybe she doesn't hear that from her husband.
Then I thought, maybe she is flattered that another man has eyes on her.
Maybe she wants to experience what it is to be with someone else.
As for the man, I thought, maybe he is bored with his wife. (his wife, poor thing is a housewife)
Maybe ,he also like the attention the other woman is giving him.
Maybe,he is trying to be macho for his friends, showing them he can have another woman.
Anyway, whatever the reason it is still the same answer. It is wrong. If your girlfriend really cared for you, she wouldn't do that. She would think of how you will feel.
Then again, maybe she is only thinking of her feelings, not the innocent party in this.
Sorry you have to go through this, but soon "this too shall past"
As for being hurt, of course you're going to be. Time will heal that.

Unless you ignored her and hung out with your friends over her and didn't give her the attention she needed (which I am not saying you didn't) Then she has some issues that she needs to deal with and its a shame that you got caught up in the middle of it but just keep your head up keep your friends around you and time heals all wounds so just take it as a positive (that she wasn't the one for you) don't do anything crazy and ms right and you will meet someday. Listen, you are better off without her! You are no fool so don't try to get back with her. Sure your feeling depressed now but as weeks go by, you'll be SO GLAD that you kept your standards of what you believe a tru relationship is. If you give her another shot, you'll only be remembering WHY you it was OVERin the first place!
Don't waste your life on old memories. There's another woman that is GREAT for you and you'll be too busy sulking to realize it. You have sooo many years to live and be happy..don't waste those precious years with someone who will not make you happy. Don't you want to happy for those years (with or without someone).
Being single is GREAT! No worries..have fun! You have plenty of time to concentrate on school, on work, on friends..without anyone bugging you about spending time with them or making time for them!
The girl is a hoe..and thank god you found out now so that way your not wasting any of your valuble time!

ah could tell yuh from experience dat people does horn for plenty diff'rent reasons. my daughter father went wit some one else for financial reasons (I wasn' minin' he an he didn' want to wuk). ah girlfren ah mine say she hornin' she man because he not showin any interes' in she no more an some people jus' lickrish and neva satisfy wit wha dey have.
try an doh study it too much. ah no yuh go still tink about it an wonda wha yuh do rong buh is two people was in de relationship an all de blame cyar be yours so doh even go dey.

You strike me as very caring and sensitive so my question is why are you putting up with this behaviour. I remember watching a programme one day and the therapist said "you teach people how to treat you". If you continue putting up with the behaviour there is no consequence for her to stop disrespecting you. You have to take it one day at a time and know you can and will find someone who will respect you. |

Generally if a person cheat they are selfish. Esp true in a longer term relationship. You need to talk to her and get things out in the open. You might be giving her what she needs. If she persists in having the relationship then yours with hers is over. Once cheating starts, you will never trust her and it is usually better to end it. |
