United States invaded Mexico.
United States invaded Panamá and already Cuba in the past, Irak, etc.etc.
Thank God United States signed a treaty of non invasion to Cuba. I hope they will respect it.
The problem in Cuba is not Castro.
The problem in Cuba is not Socialism.
Not many people undestands this point.
I am sure you have not been in Cuba so it will be very complicated for you to understand all these things.
A main problem to Cuba and its people has been the embargo by the United States. I hope this will change soon for the good of the wonderful people of the Republica de Cuba.

The U. S. should try and fix their own problems first before they meddle in a sovereign nation's affairs. Right now their economy is in shambles, no universal health care, a war in Iraq that has no end in sight, racism, you name it, the U. S. has it. In many ways they set a lousy example for the rest of the world. Castro is no angel but neither too was Batista the U. S. puppet who made Cuba the Caribbean center for gambling, prostitution and a banana republic subservient to the American government of the day.. |

Why should the USA do that? Don't we have enough problems as is? I for one, think America needs to STOP being so involved with other countries - we need to fix the problems here before we go barging into yet another country!!! |

Can they afford another Iraq war next door ? The US never understood the psychology of other people.
Don't underestimate the Cubans, lots of them don't like the system but if one foreigner touches the country they will fight together against the invader, they are very nationalist. Besides Cuba has no oil and is a major trading partner of the USA ( food imports , sugar, flour, frozen chicken and turkey etc).
USA should better concentrate on their domestic problems , they are huge.
It also seems that the US has signed a non invasion treaty with Cuba as a result of the Soviet Missile Crisis.
