Were are you? Kingston/south coast like St Elizabeth, or Montego bay.
Any were on one of Jamaica's coastal plains is going to feel hot with sea breeze moderating the temps if your closer to the sea,as Jamaica have a tropical maritime climate.Because of day time heating due to the sun direct position over head it's going to be hot especially if your in one of our towns/ City area were there is not much in way of tree's with a lot of concrete, there giving more heat until afternoon relief from convectional showers.
Usual temps in City and town are 93F/ 30 to 35 degree Celsius plus lot of water vapor in the air to give a sweating effect, due to evaporation/ transpiration and respiration.

This is a tropical island in the north west of the Caribbean. It's hot because of where we are located. What a strange question.
