Why is trinidad and tobago so corrupted?

We have gotten our usual budget reading and in this year's reading some hidden secrets were blurted out. For example the money crisis with PM Patrick Manning accusing Dr. Rowley of stealing money, can't exactly remember how much he said but still this is oblivious!!!
another really stupid thing was, the PM calling a rally to just make a fool of himself why????

It has to do with the history. Everyone in Trinidad and Tobago who came saw the islands as only a transition to something better. The Africans came as slaves not doubt yearning every day to escape, the indians were hoping to return to India after saving some money, or migrate to a metropole.

I do not think the average Trini has a burning desire to truly make the country a better place. Among the young people I do detect that sense of nationalism developing, but it will take time.

It's the history of man - wherever you have government, you have corruption. Sad but true.

WHERE in the world "not corrupted"! In fact corruption doesn't only exist in "the Government"! Everytime you pay "ah lil extra" to get your license renewed or yuh in the line to pay your bills and yuh see yuh pardner at the top of the line of 50 persons and yuh ease up and whisper in he ears and hand him the bill while other people who foot and back hutting them stand up waiting and you just haul yuh tail and take ah seat and wait for yuh pardner to "handle yuh business", ALL that is corruption!!

trinitrish
OH GOSH..Jaz....like yuh read meh article on a political forum oh what?? LOL...that is the same thing I tell some blind supporters bout corruption. Every little thing we do....like take a bligh to get special preference is corruption. Buh we doh see it like that...that is everyday living. But...so much factors contribute to that. If ppl use to do dey job correctly and not get on like they doing you ah favour ... the need to pass money to get thing done fast would cut down. If we nature wasn't to be greedy and sly...we would cut down on corruption. If we were more honest beings...we could cut down on corruption. But....it hard...to change that nature....we will always become tempted by getting it the easiest way possible....and that is why we will always have corruption.
