Because it's an amazing experience to travel there. And the thing about Cuba is that once you go you want to go back. It's really the people that make you want to go back again. There is a real warmth and hospitality amongst the Cubans. They have a zest for life no matter what they face.
There is a beauty in Cuba as well. The beaches are beautiful, clean with water so clear and turquoise. The mountainside and nature of the land are also beautiful.
You will find so much old and new history in Cuba.
No matter what, people live there and to be able to get to know them is really nice. Cubans don't forget you once you meet them. They love to stay in touch with you even when you go back home and will always remember you. And this is not because they can benefit from you by getting material things. Cubans genuinely love people, love life, love family, friendships and all that goes along with it.
If you haven't gone to Cuba, hopefully one day you can and then you'll actually understand what I'm talking about. |

Good question. Sadly people don't care about the communist government that is in Cuba, they only go for the beaches and the 'beauty' of the island. They don't care that their money makes the government richer but we suffer more. They only want to have a good time no matter what it costs. |

One of those absurd things that people do.
Anyway, Prince of Pensilvania, you gave a reasonable explanation. They just don't care about Cuba being a comunist country and a sworn enemy of the USA
If you were in Cuba to like to go to the USA, the Cuban government would put you on a black list |

Some people just do crazy things. There are people for everything
Same as there are comunists, nazis, KKK, skin heads, etc, etc
NOTE:
I don't think we are cool in Cuba. There is no AC. The climate is very hot
We know about the medical attention. I was a doctor there
Do you really think that the only important thing is the medical care ?
Just why do you think we are desperately trying to escape risking our lives ?
The experts in the Cuba situation. They think that just by putting one foot on Cuba that allows them to know ALL ABOUT CUBA
I suppose it is a bad joke
By the way, buster, you are wearing an very nice pair of socks |

Like my husband said when he answered a question in the Spanish section, under my name.
Despite its restrictions
it is where the better people live.
He got thumbs down on that answer, so i guess i will get the same. |

cuba is great and it shows people how much better life is there in oppose to the us. thats why us citizens are not allowed to travel there. also cuba is very safe with the only crimes pickpocketing something most countries would die for. cuba is safe, fun and visually attractive, people can fall in love with a island like cuba. |

A large number of Americans are curious and would go anywhere, without any real goal in mind, anticipating that the local people will treat them like celebreties
(quaf-quaf)
Others simply prefer to travel and sightsee spending extra money and feeling lovely
Cuba is close, simple, cheap, and freshly exciting in the imaginations' of the naive flatfooted travelers
In reality an American should fully expect beggars and arrogant middle classifed blue collar, under educated miltaristic types to frisk them up and down
Remeber that whatever education others have received in "developing countries" the curriculum sure did not include arts or humanities, only utilitarian functional information.
Then Americans show up smiling all goggle-eyed and looking like a go-go dancer from Vegas, expecting a small band and red carpet leading thme easily to the finest of Cuba's dignitaries accomodations where they wil receive lavish ogling and mischevious Cuban gilrs will vie for the rich American gilrs attentions, while the boys will all be so graceful and cheeky.
Yes, Americans do live in a dreamy world of lackluster social development, poor economic policies, corrupt politicians, criminal elements which have proven not only incourigable, but authentically popular among the well-accepted peer groups of the ghettos and slums
Yes indeed, America has reached the penacle of a whole new renaissance of global popularity and should plan to share their presence with the world
Say, start with the communist countries? hmmmm? yes, there the people will simply gawk with awe and envy at the excellent Americans, so lovely and perfect
Good question, why would anyone like to go to Cuba??? especially an American (non-latin) because the Mexicans and Cubans love each other and are political bretheren, "si-si???" |

Cuba's Tight!
It's a pretty cool place and better healthcare than the USA (broke foot there and treatment was free) also they just invented a cure for lung cancer lately.
Forget all about that 'cuba being the devil crap.' the people are cool there ;D.
when I first went to Cuba I thought i was gonna get killed or somethin' but I actually had a pretty good time. it was da bomb and I even learned how to dance Son and Salsa :D. |
