That is completely irrelevant. They can visit any country. Why would they visit Cuba ?
Their money would help the evil brothers. Not good
That is so true. People that go there don't care about the terrible conditions of the Cuban people. They only want to have a good time
Suffering and starvation are caused by the comunist government of the evil brothers. None of them lives bad
There was a joke about this years ago, when the principal food was green peas.
fidel goes to a restaurant and asks for the menu. They tell him: "comandante, only thing we have are green peas."
And fidel says then: "No way !. The food of the Cuban people is sacred. Not even me can have that. It must be respected"
You know, it would be so nice if people talked about something they really know, instead of shooting blindly in the dark. Somebody telling me how things are in MY country !
Wonderful !
I assume that the money you give to those people from the private house will be put under the mattress and never again will see the light of day. That is the only way in which the evil brothers will not get it sooner or later |

We must wait and see. We hope so very soon.
The terrible fidel has been almost two years with the disorder that he has.
It cannot be there forever.
I agree. Hopefully we will join the rest of the world in no time as a free country again |

We really hope so.
fidel cannot live forever and he has lived 82 years too many
We keep waiting.
By the way, you are right. We didn't know how lucky we were until it was too late. We never thought that fidel would be comunist
We have paid for that mistake very much
But a change in president is still very unlikely . We must wait for that |

Perhaps
We must wait and see what happens. With a little luck, big bad old fidel will join its ancestors soon and the fear and paranoia that he caused can finally begin to disappear
About electing a different president, it is not likely to happen soon
By the way, it is the Cuban government that restricts travels. Who said that Cuba is a free country ?
We are ruled by a comunist dictatorship |

Will the Cubans be free next year ?
I have never seen any question here about the Cuban people. We are less than nothing in the eyes of the world |
|

What for ?
On a more positive note, maybe. fidel has to disappear some day. He is not getting any younger or healthier
I agree with some of the points presented here, but the expression of would being nice to have a free and democratic Cuba is extremely inappropriate. Freedom is so sacred that should be in a shrine
Would it be "nice" if Osama bin laden had not done the 911 ? |

Who knows? I hope so, but politics can take forever. I have friends (in the US) with family there - the average Cuban could do with American tourist dollars. It's a pretty dreadful situation at present. The people suffer quite a bit so that the governments can prove their respective points. As always.
It would be nice to have a free and truly independent Cuba - for the people. Most of the people who go there as tourists don't know how bad off the people are - they just see the beaches. Meanwhile the people starve.
You can get a special permission as an American so that you can visit. Cuban-Americans were allowed to visit family once a year until Bush changed it to every three years. |

Couldn't be better, thank U

You can, via Canada. It'll bea fairly expensive trip. And don't listen to the guy saying that you'll be supporting the evil government. The hotel, car rental goes to the government. But you can stay in a casa particular, private house. The normal people will benefit from that. Also a lot of Cubans work in the hotels and they benefit from the tips you give them.
Visit Q-BA. It's an amazing place, and I mean AMAZING
Greetings from Iran |

If you mean under US law, I doubt it.
Obama has said that he will revert Bush's 2004 travel restrictions, but anything else is subject to discussion. And Cuba isn't the top of their list of priorities.
As others say, only illegally through third countries.

Only if America lifts the trade embargo's it has in place on Cuba, Cuba is the most amazing country with beautiful people, they asked America for a six month lift on the trade embargo's very, very recently as many people had been left homeless after the hurricanes, what was America's response to their plea, a big fat NO, but maybe now they have a decent president in America, Barac Obama trading and tourism between America and Cuba could be one of the best things ever done, America has the money and resources to put into Cuba for tourism and Cuba now have the oil and nickel that the Americans would like. |

For the seventeenth year in a row the U. N. has condemned the U. S. for not removing the embargo however in the past it has fallen on deaf ears, hopefully you will soon be able to join the rest of the world in visiting Cuba. |

No way Jose.
United States, the country of freedom, does not allow americans to go to Cuba. United States citizens are not free to go to Cuba.
It will not change until they lift the emgargo. That means NO. |

If you mean travel without getting a travel license from the US, it may be possible.
However, many US residents do travel to Cuba via 3rd every year without problems.
You don't have to wait for the embargo to be lifted...Cuba does not restrict US citizens/residents to enter Cuba. They do not stamp passports either.
So as Riki said, depending on the US embargo situation, it may be possible. Between the US and Cuba, and those that rule (or will not) may make a difference in many things. |

America restricts travel by it's citizens???
I though it was a free country or so many others elsewhere on YA going on about free world this and free world that would have you believe.
You never know your luck, a change of president who's ethics aren't based on perpetuating fear and paranoia might signal a change.
Cuba has got some gorgeous beaches. Package holidays there from Britain have been available for years and are popular. |
