You can use your photo i.d. for the plane. passports are not needed for American citizens to travel to a U.S. territory. see website below and read last sentence under the section titled "SUMMER 2008." It specifically states that American citiens do NOT need passports to trvel to Americn territories. |

i just seen the commercial to Puerto Rico and it says that no passport is required.
If you are going, be sure to go to downtown San Juan.....lots of great shops, and there's a place there called Mona's .

The new law require that you use a passport for all travel, be it domestic or international. It was only international for a long time, but now you need a passport for domestic travel as well.Also two forms of ID is your best bet when ever traveling anywhere, and for international flights be sure to be there two hours before departure.
Also you always need your green card/ resident card when traveling overseas, it doesn't matter whethere or not its a commonwealth.
If there is too many conflicting answers, call the airline or immigration and ask them. |

If u are a US citizen you do not need a passport. You do need a valid ID to board the plane which is where your Drivers License comes into play! Happy Vacation! |

No, Puerto Rico belongs to the US. However, you may need one as an ID to get on the plane. Phone the airline and ask. |
