no they generally dont check nor do they really care if your close enough.. They arnt as strict as say the U.S. is on the subject matter... Just take someones id that is older than you with you just to be safe...Just dont act stupid o drunk so they dont question you. But if your staying in a resort they dont even give a sh!t unless your acting like a fool.

no one checks anything they don't care, if you can hold it you can drink it. My husband is Dominican, he is rolling about laughing right now, seriously no one checks, you can send your kids to the bar for you if you want.

The legal drinking age is 18.When we went our niece was just 17, and they gave her a different coloured wristband so she couldn't get her own from the bar.Each hotel is different though, and when you go out at night the bars don't seem to bother.Just don't act stupid or loud and you shouldn't have a problem,and remember, alcohol is very strong out there!False I.D is no good at hotel,they'll have your passport.

You could be 5 years old and go to a store or "colmado' ask for a beer and they will give it to you no questions asked. You can go to a club, and even buy cigaretts. But if you're in a hotel, tell someone else to get it for you. Someone over aged.

Its ALL INCLUSIVE so you can get an unlimited amount of pop and specialty kids drinks. They have many exciting drinks you can order, just to name a few, CHOCOLATE MONKEY and SODA ON THE ROCKS! My brother (11yrs old) was there in April and he had a swell time quenching his thirst at the swim up bar with a good ol chocolate monkey:))

If you are over 16 you get an adult's wristband at the hotels for the all-inclusive. You shouldn't have any problem getting alcoholic drinks at the bar. They'll be watching though and if you're young and have more than a couple they'll refuse to serve you alcohol. Be sensible and don't try to get drunk, or you could end up at best being stopped from getting drinks at the bars, or at worst the hotel could throw you out, especially if your behaviour is bad under the influence of drink.
