Why do you say this? first off these islands that you called are 99% BLACK...so it obviously has very little to do with us and secondly he won the U.S.A election not an election in a country in the Caribbean.

Hope i helped to clarify the question =)

Caramel Republican
You know most of those countries you named are almost completely black, even tough they may have small mixed race/white communities.

Highly Favoured
Why would it end it in the Caribbean? He won in the US.

Tj
I believe the election of Barack Obama showed how much our world has changed in the last few years. But as far as ending racism, i doubt it. It won't end racism in the US. If anything there will probably be more blatant displays of racism.

jeff m
Sadly, no. While the election of Obama was a HUGE step for black people, it's not going to change the mind of racists out there. Everytime he makes an unpopular decision, and he will as all presidents do, to racists, it will be because he's black.

Tyler I Shanick
The Barack Obama election has affected the whole world an the caribbean was expecially enthrawled by the whole election. (FYI Antigua is going to name it's highest peak to Mount Obama).

Racism againsts blacks is not a big deal in the caribbean because the vast majority of ppl are black. So i don't think there is but racism to end in the first place.

lucee
Why would you think that? Racism is just beginning to raise it's ugly head again in the U.S. That's what we're going to have for the next four years, unfortunately. His auntie will get to stay illegally in the U.S. and African American teachers can continue to berate and make fun of white children in the South.
