Well if you are still a minor yes. Your parents can report you as a runaway and if they know where you are they can have the police sent to this place to get you.
They can do this because the are your legal guardians until you are an adult (18 years old) |

Most cities have curfews and other laws that allow the police to pick you up. A question for you is why you want to run away. If you are being abused, seek help from the police or a shelter immediately. Before you make this kind of decision, you have to find an adult you trust to talk to, maybe a teacher. Running away definitely won't help any problem you have, I know that. There are plenty of people out there waiting to take advantage of runaways - drug dealers, prostitution rings, gangs, etc. At best you would end up homeless and begging for money to eat. There is always a better solution than running away. There is always someone in your family or someone you know who can help, and if you can't think of anyone there are social workers if you look for them - you just have to ask. It's hard, but again, running away will not solve your problems, it will add many, many more problems. |

Yeah you can get in alot of trouble depending on the circumstances, But on a regular basis you will be sent to a Juvinille Hall. Which is good if your gay. |

It depends on how old you are. If you're over 65, they'll probably put you in a nursing home for trying something like that. |

Yes. I knew kids who were sent to the youth psychiatric ward in the hospital after the cops found them.
I dont know why you would want to run away, but if your parents are abusing you mentally, physically or sexually there are other ways to make your life better.
If you just dont like your parents, get over it. You will understand when you are older. |

With your parents, yes. Why are you running away? Can you talk to a guidance counselor, a teacher or a best friend before you run away. Tell them whatever you are going through. |

Yup. parents will ring police and when you get caught police give you a growling and parents pull out the old rar rar rar grounded we were so worried... Not that i have ever run away but i guessing thats what happenss... So not really worth it. Honestly |
