Yes it works. I go to PR every year & always use my debit card. It works at most places like a check card & will work at almost any ATM/cash machine even if its a different bank. Plus there are tons of Walgreens around. & remember PR is part of the US, so the banking systems are the same & the currency is US. ENJOY

If it had a visa

Look at the back of your card, they will have symbols. You have to find and ATM with the same symbols as your card. I don't mean the visa or mastercard logos on the front - the symbols on the back.

Best call your bank and ask. I went to Honduras and half worked, half didn't.

DON'T rely on that for your only source of income. You can ask your bank, but my bank told me mine would work, it did NOT! I heard from others not to trust it, so I brought plenty of cash & had a credit card to use & pay off when I got home. If you rely on that as your source of money & get there, & have none, well your in trouble. So plan whether your bringing cash, travelers checks, or credit cards, if you r lucky you may be able to use it. Also look into the travelers checks too. Make sure they take that type. I have family from Ireland, they brought American Express travelers checks from their bank, the U.S. would not take them. Luckily we were able to lend him money while visiting. So dont get stuck.

It should, but you may want to tell your bank, because you can only withdarw a small amount a day and if it's the weekend that counts all as 1 day.

Possibly.

Outside of the U.S.
Debit cards with MasterCard or Visa must be ran through as a signature transaction and can not usually be used a s pin transaction. Including at some ATMs. You would choose Credit card.

Outside of the U.S.
Cards without those MasterCard or Visa symbol can only be used at some atms that take Maestro, Cirrus, Plus/interlink.

The bank forgot to tell the other poster to call the banks customer service before he left. This way the card would of not been blocked.

Almost every credit card works in Puerto Rico , visa, amex, master card, atms ,

Check with your bank, not all cards work from all countries.

its up to where are you going to use it.in some places it would work, but in some places it won't.

Bite Me.
I think.... if they have the same bank that you use in America.
