I live on a Caribbean lsland and have all my life! l think it would just boil down to WHICH on of the islands! Lots of people who leave the Caribbean to go to the U.S, England, Europe etc,allways dream of returning to enjoy the laid back way of life in the Caribbean. So yes! |

The Caribbean may look idyllic, but there are all kinds of problems. One is the weather -- the risk of being hit by a major hurricane, which is a dreadful experience indeed, or of having skin cancer. Indeed, health is a major consideration -- where do you go when you need hospital treatment? Does your health insurance cover the cost of an air ambulance? Do you even have a visa for the country you would be air ambulanced to?
Caribbean islands are lovely to live on for a time, but not good to grow old on if you are a foreigner. |
