Would you recommend Cuba (Havana & Varadero) as a holiday destination for a couple in their mid-twenties?

Absolutely ... it is a beautiful place ...For a fun time, go to Varadero...I've been there and I would suggest it to anyone. Have a good trip.

Havana has lots of history and lots to see. Varadero has lots of beaches and lots of toursits. If you stay in Varadero, you can take a day trip to Havana. There is so much to see in Havana but be careful. My friend said there is alot of pick pocketers now than before. There is a China town with great seafood at dirt cheap prices. Lobster tail:$5 convertible pesos and shrimps for $3. Nice structures, people churches. Be careful of the Melacon at night, if you are in a large group (3-5 people). Nobody will bother you. Good Luck!

yes i would recommend both. If you stay one week in Varadero then one week in Havana it's a perfect combination. Varadero has great beach and lots of day activities such as swimming with dolphins, jeep safari with snorkling in caves ect. Havana has lots of museums and galleries and great nightlife. It's great to split you vacation between those 2 places. I did go with my boyfriend, we are both 24.

NO!
I would recommend the island of CAYO LARGO.
I was there 8 years ago, for an all inclusive family holiday.
SUN>SEA>SAND
It was very good.

Are you serious?...of course...its fantastic.

Whoever thinks that DomReps bars/culture/music/cigars/atmosphere are better than Cubas...needs thier head seeing 2.

Thoughly enjoyed Havana--there isnt a nightlife like anywhere in the world.

I would say Varadero , but it is personal preference. If you are in your Mid twenties you may also enjoy Cancun. I would check out reviews etc http://www.tripadvisor.com. They have alot of both positive and negative feedback on all places, they also have a forum where you can ask questions.
Good luck

yes, both are great for different reasons. Havana's nite life is great but has no beaches or all inclusive resorts, Varadero does.V has great beaches and all inclusive resorts and can be very romantic.

skip Varadero, its just like most other beach resorts.

Havana (and the rest of Cuba) can be great, there are a lot of nice "bars" where they make music i really loved it! (as being in my 20's myself)
