This is something you would have to be much more specific about, ship prices will vary depending on size, types of construction, uses, etc. Do you want completely furnished, and how nicely furnished, and what kind of engine, this could make thousands of dollars in difference. Carnival Orders New $567M ShipUpdated: 3:45 p.m. ET June 11, 2007Font size: MIAMI - Carnival Corp. said Monday it exercised its option to build a 2,100-passenger ship for its luxury Holland America Line brand at a cost of about $567 million, with delivery scheduled for fall 2010.
The 86,000-gross ton ship will be built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri at its Marghera shipyard. It will be sister ship to the Eurodam, which is scheduled to debut in summer 2008, and they will be the two largest vessels in the fleet, said Stein Kruse, Holland America Line's president and chief executive.
The two ships will represent a 23 percent increase in capacity, Kruse said.
Carnival is the world's largest cruise operator with a portfolio of 10 brands and 82 ships. It has 17 new ships on order through 2011 _ 12 of which are being built by Fincantieri. |
