Adult friendly cruise lines? |
My husband and I are looking to take a cruise as a second honeymoon this September. We're looking for more adult cruise lines (without so many children). Would you know of any that you've been on and enjoyed or heard about?

If you want more of an adult cruise then I would suggest Alaska. Sept. the kids will be in school, the rates are lower and the Scenery is Amazing. Try Princess.com or call 1-800-Princess. They are offering a free DVD called Great Escapes plus, they are having a sale on their cruises now. They sell out fast so if you both agree I would call soon.
Princess is the # 1 line in Alaska.
Sorry no nude decks on Princess.

Although there are apparently no adults-only ships or cruises, you can avoid being around lots of kids. Take a cruise while school is in session, go longer than 7 days, go somewhere other than the Caribbean, and go on a more expensive cruise. Holland America and
Cunard generally don't have many children on board. Also, no matter what cruise you may take, if the dining room has an early seating and a late seating, reserve late seating with a table for two. Almost everybody with children goes to the early seating. |

Celebrity, Cunard, Crystal, Regent, Lindblad, Seaborn, SilverSea, and Windstar are pretty good about either having a small amount of well behaved kids, or no kids at all.
Expedia and cruise critic offer pretty frank discussions of the cruiselines that are best for people like you (and me).
Steer clear of Carnival, Disney, and any other cruises that are in the lower price range. While I didn't see a ton of kids on my Royal Caribbean cruise, we were on a more expensive cruise that priced a lot of familes out.

I worked on the Cruise and I don't recall the nude part but Royal Caribbean have probably the best to offer.
You don't see to many kids and if you care for the nude go to Caribbean in San Marten on the Dutch side.
I can say that the best ever will be New York to Bermuda.

If your cruise is after school starts, then you will see a lot less kids. I found that Princess, Holland America and Cunard seem to have less kids then most of the other cruise lines. But with that said, kids will always be on a cruise no matter what. I was on a cruise almost 2 years ago for 29 days during the school year and we still had about 5 kids on board. Not bad for a cruise that had about 2,300 travelers. |
