Age requirements with cruises?

Ok, when my girlfriend turns 21, I'm going to take her on a cruise. Problem is, I'm younger than her and I'm not sure if I can go on the cruise with her. (If I can't go, she doesn't want to)
Is there anyway to get on the cruise with her (or lie to get on)?

Some of the other posters' answers are incorrect. Each cruise line has age restrictions. Those under 18 usually must be traveling with someone over 25. Check the website of the cruise you're interested in, or ask a travel agent.

You cannot lie about your age. Your documentation will give your real age [passport, driver's license].

ladykenmax
Don't lie, they check ID's. Call the cruise line and ask if there is a age restriction. Just as them what is their policy for being of legal age.

USMC/Delta
in most cases anyone under 21 must be accomponied by someone 25 or older. There is an exception if 2 people (either or both of them can be under 21) are married. If you're both just 18 but married you can go. But this isnt always true. Just call the company and figure it all out. It really depends on the kind of cruise you take.

Anonom
Don't lie, they check. There is no limitation at all if you go on any major cruise line and don't go on rare 21-plus cruisings.

Lulu
There are no age restrictions on cruises, unless it's an 18+ cruise, so just go on a normal cruise.
