Alaskan vs. Caribbean Cruise. What would you take?

They are both so different, the Alaska cruises go to destinations that are "offbeat" with very little to do except see nature and are more expensive.

Caribbean Cruises are more "fun" oriented with more ports which are very tropical and exotic. If it's your first cruise, do the Caribbean, the Alaska cruises are far more subdued.

I've done both and by far Alaska was the most memorable trip I have ever taken. We went in July on the cruise and that is beautiful weather in Alaska. If you go you must take the helicopter excursion. You land right on an ice glacier and can get out and walk. Truley amazing! Have fun with whatever you choose.

I would do alaska the way the glaciers are melting not much longer will you be abkle to see all taht you can see now..
You can take a caribbean cruise anytime you want

This really depends on personal preference and when you want to travel. I've taken both. If you are looking for a summer vacation, cooler weather, amazing scenery, and hours and hours of sunlight...Alaska is it.

If you like swimming, a vacation in the winter or spring, stunning blue water, and a selection of different itineraries...the Caribbean. I liked both...but Alaska was truly amazing.

i have been on an Alaskan cruise and it was absolutely beautiful it wasn't too cold or too hot.. but if u like the hot weather i would take the Caribbean cruise but if u like scenery then i would take the Alaskan cruise!! it was breathtaking how beautiful it is up there

and the Carnival Destiny For My Caribbean Cruise

I went with My grandmother who is 62 and even she found the Alaskan crowd was a little dry and old! I don't know if it was because of the line we choose or if that's how all alakan cruises are. However I had so much fun on my Caribbean cruise but an Alaskan Cruise Is something special to experience especially if you are amazed at nature. If depends if you want a quiet vacation or a fun party styled one.

Alaska in summer when it's hot in the lower 48, Caribbean in the fall and winter when it's cold in the lower 48, Hawaii in the spring time. ;)

I always do Caribbean. I live in Florida, so I can drive to Tampa or Port Canaveral in less than two hours. And they are cheaper. I booked a Western Caribbean for four people for under $1400. I have not found anyone yet who could beat that price.

Caribbean cruise, definitely...oh, and for cruise lines - Royal Caribbean is the absolute best for all around quality, pricing and variety.

Definitely caribbean, cold weather and glaciers just don't appeal to me.

I would take a cruise trhough the caribbean, even though I live in the caribbean, but i think is best, I dont know, something like barbados has to be exciting.
