Alcohol on a Carnival Cruise?

This works for me all the time and I cruise 2 or 3 times a year. I use a couple flasks that are about the size of a pint liquor bottle and I pack them with my toiletries. That so that if they do x-ray the bottles look like any other. Then instead of buying a fifth, buy a few pint bottles of whatever you drink and pack them in your leather shoes wrapped in a zip lock bag to guard against spillage. Another thing you can do is buy some mini's like the ones they sell on the airlines and pack them all over your luggage, but for sure in your shoes.

we knew people putting vodka in water bottles and stuff and if you go into the carnival cruise line forums people have put lots of tricks on there of how the got alcohol on the ship there are some pretty funny ones. Have fun! I loved the carnival ship.

Do you really have to sneak it on? I went on a cruise (princess, not carnival) and we just put it in our bags.

I've read on carnival's forums where people use 2 liter bottles of coke or sprite, depending on the color of the alcohol.

Carnival's rules state that you're allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine onboard. You can bring your own corkscrew and then you won't have to pay the corking fee. When my fiancee and I went on our cruise, we filled 2 wine bottles with booze and re-corked them. We bought a soft drink package and made our own mixed drinks throughout the week.

Why would you take the chance of getting caught; They would take your liquor away and possibly put you off the ship. Their rules are posted and they expect everyone to abide by them.

Honestly my husband and I just put a fifth in the luggage. It's not like they xray it or anything. I've never had mine checked or confiscated. Though seriously some of the suggestions I've heard before are crazy. I'm heard people say put it in Listerine bottles. You do know the smell of Listerine is going to change the flavor of the vodka no matter how well you think you've cleaned out the bottle. Same with contact solution.

But you know--I always get the drink of the day and on our last cruise we didn't even open the fifth we brought. The drinks of the day are huge and less than $6 for the refills so it really does take a lot of drinking to hit the $200 mark.
