Antarctic Cruise ship = USD$7800, does it worth it? |
My wife has tried to convince me to take this cruise for more than a year, but i have seen ice and sea before, i am from Anchorage, AK. So an Antarctic cruise doesn't sound so amazing.
But she is bugging me already, so i plan to take the cheapest ticket which cost...USD$7800!!! I am still not convinced. |

An Antarctic cruise is more than just the sea and ice. There is wildlife such that can only be seen in that part of the world. It's also a very historic location for anyone with a bit of nostalgia for the adventurers of the past century. It's certainly not cheap, but I bet you'd have a great time. |

$7800 is a lot of Cash. There has to be more than just the antarctic. Is it the Antarctic she wants to see or is it any cruise? Personally I've done the Alaskan cruise once and never again. Too cold. ( I've also done Caribbean 10 times and I will do that again anytime)
PS 7800 does that include airfare? |

It is all a matter of personal satisfaction. I didn't think it was worth it, but since it was the end of a South America cruise, it was ok that it went there also. If you decide to do it, give me a call and I will find you the lowest possible fare, plus throw in some goodies.

I'm with you. I live in North Dakota. If I'm paying money to go on a cruise, the last thing I want to see is f 'n snow and ice. The Caribbean is a much better idea, and less money too. If your wife wants to see ice chucks so bad, since you live within driving distance of Skagway, try to get the second half of an Alaskan cruise and the first half of the next one through a travel agent. Since a lot of cruises are not full these days, they just might consider arranging something like that. You could save a lot of money and still have an exotic cruise. |
