no not cruised b.4 but were told sea sickness on new big ships is a thing of the past, and if it does happen the tablets work a treat

All the ships I've been on, everything goes on a tab and is either settled at the end, or you register you credit card at the start and they deduct it at the end.

As for seasickness. I have been on small and big cruise ships. You can feel the motion, but if you are not prone to seasickness you should be fine. If the tablets don't work, the doctor can give you an injection. The big ships I've been on have some special mechanical "thingy" on board that stops too much motion. (Can't remember what it's called) We were in a real storm on the P&O Aurora, and didn't feel the slightest bit seasick.

Enjoy yourselves. You'll love it

Typically you give the cruise line your credit card number and any charges are put to your account. Cash does not change hands on board ship. They even put the tips for the crew on your account, about $10 or $15 per day, per person. You can cash casino chips for cash.

Most cruise ships run on credit card accounts. When I was on my first cruise last year with Thomson, they set up an account before you board, with a limit of £500. When you have reached your limit, they contact you on board to get your permission to increase the account limit. This is a really good idea, you don't want to get a huge shock at the end of your holiday and find out that you have spent an absolute fortune!! I hope you enjoy your cruise, it's certainly the best holiday that I have ever been on and I am looking forward to my second one in May...

To be safe pick up wrist bands at local drug store. My wife uses them and they work.
As you check in you will be asked how you will pay, simplest is credit card, but you have to be careful on how you spend,
Carry on with you a change of clothes, your luggage will get to your room, but it may not be until 7-8 pm
Go on line now and get a layout of the ship, learn where the restaurants are. where is your room etc. Read the daily handout that's pushed under your door each evening.
Try to be on time for everything but don't be in a rush. Sound confusing, not really. Eg. Diner is at 6 get to the door at 6:01 not 5:55 or 6:15. You will be seated with less fuss and your waiter will be able to look after you promptly.
If there are small problems try to let them go away by themselves, there are thousands of people on board, If you ask for absolute perfection you will have a stressed out cruise. The staff are usually very good at everything, but things do happen, relax.

ive been on a couple of cruises. If it's a big ship then you won't get sea sick, but my sister did get a bit sick while the ship was travelling through the bermuda triangle to puerto rico (the ship rocked quite a bit and it was a huge ship!). The tabletd can work, on a smaller ship i took gravol and boy did it make me sleepy !. Cruise ships have you sign up for a card that you use on the ship, i think it's called a "sea pass" or something...you charge everything to the card and it gets automatically put on your credit card or you can pay for the bill in cash at the end of the cruise. You don't need to have cash on you while walking around on the cruise really. Cruises are alot of fun. Oh and bring alot of one dollar bills because you will have to tip the workers alot, some cruise ships tell you to leave a tip at the end of the cruise while others tell you to tip durinig each service...i know it's crazy you have to tip so many folks but you feel bad when you don't ! The workers are incredibly friendly and they become your friend ! Enjoy !

Edit:No,you can still feel the motion of the boat on the surface of the water. The ship slowly rocks sisde to side and somtimes from front to back in.Trust me which ever gump gave me a thumbs down has never been on a ship.
