Pack light. That being said, however, there are a few things you will certainly appreciate having with you -- a tote bag to carry your room key/ID, sunscreen, glasses, paperback, and casino money -- a pair of flipflops to wear to the edge of the pool to help with very hot and/or slick decks -- a little bottle of hand-cleaner or box of wipes for before you eat at the pool or on shore -- spare can-get-wet shorts and top to slip over your swimsuit to go into the lunch buffet without having to change. Don't take a beach towel -- the ship has those for you right at the pool!
Read the daily program, which tells you everything going on, where, and when. Slip it into your tote bag so it's handy throughout the day.
For the ladies, take flat shoes and no heels! It's easier and safer for walking. And no hose. A small purse for evening is excellent, too.
About the last night -- you need to be very careful to be sure to keep any medicines, toiletries, and clothes for your carry-on! Once your luggage is picked up the last night, it's really, really gone, and you don't want to be missing your clothes or toothbrush or shoes or underwear for the next morning!
And -- HAVE FUN! |

Pack light!. Bring a small backpack for land trips. Bring a refillable water bottle. Also, pick up antibacterial hand cleaner towelettes or a small squeeze bottle. This will come in handy. Have a GREAT time. I've been on 10 cruises and I keep a sheet in my computer on all of the little things I need when it comes to packing. It makes the chore so much easier.
If you are planning outings it's best to book those pre-cruise rather than stand in line.
Go easy on the margarita's when you're off of the ship. Keep your senses clear. Have fun |

Lots of good info here. you can also go to cruisecritic.com it is riddle with great info and they have a special section for what to know and what to pack. Many said don't over pack but I do. I rather have then not have. Just know that your going to have the time of your life. Walking on that ship the fist day is so exciting and it doesn't stop till they kick ya off at the end. One poster said try new things and that's right, it is your one time you can try all sorts of things you would normally have to pay for on land from the entertainment to the food. try it if you don't like it your not going to starve for sure. Just get something else. I love cruising and so will you. |

Take advantage of everything the ship has to offer: spa, shows, casino, restaurants, dancing, etc. There is never a dull moment onboard if you look at the list of each day's events. Also, you may want to book tours for the various ports.
I love to cruise. It's the only way to travel. |

Prepare for formal night by making sure you have something really nice to wear. Don't forget your camera and take lots of pics. You will be asked to have some taken as well but they are very expensive. There is no charge just for having it taken. Ship tours/excursion can be very expensive as well. Remember your ship pass is linked to your credit card so any purchases with the pass will be on your card.
Go to all the shows nightly and be involved in everything that is offered. Read up all the information on the ship and be aware of all the activities. Just enjoy yourself. |
