Yes, I have done three cruises in Europe. The first was an Eastern Mediterranean Cruise that had port stops in France, Florence/Pisa, Italy; Rome, Italy; and Naples, Italy; Athens, Santorini and Mykonos, Greece and Turkey. A cruise like that will take you to many historical places in Italy, Greece and Turkey. The must see spots would be The Vatican City, the Coliseum in Rome, the Trevi Fountain in Rome, the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Pisa, Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius in Naples, the Acropolis in Athens, and the Biblical city of Ephesus in Turkey. And then add in the Greek isles which are beautiful. I loved this cruise and could do it again

Then my next European cruise (on a Celebrity ship) was to the Baltic countries; Germany, Eastonia, Poland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Russia. This cruise was nice, but not as nice as the first. It was filled with visits to historical places and museums and churches. Its nice to visit and see the countries but they do not have attractions that are "must see". this was a nice to see once type cruise.

Then my third cruise, just last November (on a NCL ship) was to the Western Mediterranean countries of Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Gibraltar and the Canary Islands. I liked this cruise mainly because it had stops in Gibraltar and the Canary Islands. It too did not have any must see places, except I think that Gibraltar IS a must see placed. And I did like the Canary Islands.

OK, if you want to go to Europe I have the cruise for you and I will be booking it for us for next November. Its a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Barcelona, Spain on the Brilliance of the Seas ( I cruised on that ship last time and love it) and going to Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean . Here's a link to it:

And here are some others to look at:

The other ship listed for the 7 day cruise is one of RC's Voyager Class ships and I have been on two of them. This ship is lovely and you will enjoy it. It has a lot of great activities for you on it like ice skating, roller skating, and mini-golf.

You said cheap cruise *to* Europe. Every season the cruise lines reposition their ships. During the winter months, ships used for Alaskan cruises service Hawaiian or Mexican desitinations. These cruises are value priced. Here is a list of some going to Europe from the US:

Princess, Crown Princess
9 days departing April 26, 2009
Ft. Lauderdale to Lisbon with a stop in the Azores
$700

Norwegian, Norwegian Jewel
11 days departing April 17, 2009
Miami to London with a stop in the Azores and Vigo Spain
$750

Carnival, Carnival Liberty
14 days departing April 25, 2009
Miami to London with stops at Azores, Vigo Spain, Lisbon and Paris (Le Havre)
$800

Cunard, Queen Mary 2
6 days departing August 7, 2008
Brooklyn to London
$800

Royal Caribbean, Navigator of the Seas
14 days departing April 16, 2009
Ft. Lauderdale to Barcelona with stops in the Canary Islands (2), Lisbon, Cadiz and Malaga
$900

Holland America has one from San Diego to Rome with about 15 stops along the way for $2300. The same cruise except from Ft. Lauderdale is $1300.

My personal cruising experience has been the Eastern Mediteranean / Agean seas - Greek Islands and Turkey. My preference is to cruise islands because each is different, but they aren't so large that you can't see enough in a day. I prefer to spend traditional vacations in large cities like Rome, Venice or Barcelona.

Royal Caribbean probably has the best deals to Europe, but I would book way in advance to get the best deal. You can get good discounts at http://www.cruiseasy.joystar.com and good luck

If you are looking for cruises IN Europe, the above posts are correct. But your question was cruises TO Europe, so I think you mean Transatlantic. Believe it or not, you can get some decent priced Transatlantic cruises. Just for haha's I pulled up vacationstogo.com and looked at what type of Trans cruises were available. They have a 6 day cruise on the Queen Mary2 going from New York to London starting at $806 per person. Not bad. You can upgrade to Balcony for $1008 per person. Course this one leaves tomorrow too, oops! But if you search for Trans cruises on this site you'll be able to see the incredible variety and cool options you have if this is what you are looking for.
