TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
I have been on many Royal Caribbean cruises and I can tell you that the food is great. The dinner menu is different every night, even on a 12 to 14 day cruise. It usually includes entre selections of beef, chicken, fish, and pasta as the main course, plus several hot and cold appetizers and soups. Every cruise that I have been on they always have one night when they serve lobster tails (usually on a formal night) and a night when they serve file mignon. Some ships that may have a night when they prepare fresh pasta in the dining room and serve it from a special table. There is usually a chef's salad selection for the evening.

The one thing that I like about the RC menu is if you don't want the specials of the day you can always order from the alternative menu that is available every day. It has sirloin steak, baked salmon, and grilled chicken on it. And you can always order a baked potato and/or a Caesar salad. After your regular meal they will give you a desert menu which will usually include some specialty deserts, or you can always order ice cream, or cheese cake. The desert menu will usually include baked Alaska one night (usually a formal night) and hot cherries jubilee another night.

Some other cruise lines also have this standing alternative menu. I don't know about Carnival as I have never been on their ships.

On the breakfast menu they will have just about anything you could want from pancakes to fresh made to order omelette's. Lunches have about anything you could want, soups, sandwiches, hot entres, pizza, burgers and fries, etc.

You know there is free room service 24/7, just pick up the phone and order.

this is just what you're looking for: http://cruiseclues.com/menus.htm -- this site is terrific for checking everything! cabin pictures, reviews.

(and I have a competing website!)

also go to Webshots.com and search for your cruiseship and menu.. lots there too!

have a wonderful time! Great part of food on a ship, if you don't like it, they'll gladly bring you something else!

I don't know if the ship's website has menus but if you read cruisereviews, they often have poeple who posts very comprehensive reviews with snapshots of the menus for each night so you can get an idea of what type of food, as well as their review of the ship.

They both have websites. I've traveled on several ships, and they all have great cuisine. I like to try the wild and crazy stuff, where my traveling companion, is more staid in her choices.
