If you're looking for a cruise out of Singapore the best option is Star Cruises. The MV SuperStar Virgo sails on a regular base out of Singapore to Malaysia and Thailand and is not too luxurious or too expensive.

Try looking for Day cruises or even for a weekend. Lake, River, or dinner cruises are expensive but less cause they do not take so long to complete. Usually there isn't an air fare in this type. Good Luck

Windjammer Cruise Line has a fleet of smaller, more intimate boats, as opposed to huge, 20 deck floating cities. If i remember correctly the prices aren't too bad either.

my family and i took a cruise to ensenada, mexico two summers ago. we left on a friday evening and came back sunday. on sunday we spent the day in mexico. it may seem like a long time to be on a boat, but there is TONS of stuff to do! we traveled with carnival's fun ships.

My husband and I went to the Bahamas in December with Carnival Cruise Lines on a 3 night cruise and it only cost us ~250 per person. Beautiful weather for December. I know that most cruise lines offer decent prices for 3-4 day cruises.

checkout vacationstogo.com you might even find out you can afford a week long cruise. me and my girlfriend took a 7 day cruise for less than 500 a person but remember you also have to tip about 10 a day per person.
