For most people, the mass cruise lines such as Carnival, RCL, NCL, and Holland America are just fine. They are very nice ships.
One person stated that some people prefer a Mercedes to a Nissan. That is the kind of person that would prefer Crystal. It is premium class but it does cost a lot more.
I have never been on Crystal but I have friends that have and they say that Crystal spoils you so you will never want to travel on anyone else again.
It is like asking whether flying first class is worth the extra price over coach. If you can afford it, you do not have to ask. |

I think Crystal is one of the cruise lines that is truly all-inclusive, meaning alcohol, etc. They have smaller ships and so can go to ports that the larger ships can't. They would have a clientele that is very upper-class, if that's what you are looking for.

Crystal is more for older people. Whole on board the Carnival Spirit, people told me that on Crystal, the lines move muvh more slowly because of all the people with power chairs, walkers and the like. You don't always get what you pay for. I've heard good things about RCCL too. |

Not unless you have money to waste. Try Holland America or Oceania. They have beautiful ships, outstanding food, and everything you could possibly want in a cruise ship. |

I have read a lot about crystal and most people that go on there cruises have lots of money to burn such as doctors and lawyers. They read that it is the best and want the best. Personally, I have enjoyed Princess cruises, I don't see why I should waste my money on something like crystal cruises. I guess it is the difference between a Mercedes and a Nissan. They both get you to the same place and both are comfortable, but one costs a lot more. |
