As far as what's included and what's not included in your cruise price, here's a little guide:

- Included - Ship accommodations, ocean transportation, most meals, coffee/tea/juices, most entertainment, and port taxes.

- Not Included - Any item of a personal nature including but not limited to: alcoholic beverages, spa and salon treatments, specialty coffees, shore excursions, gratuities, air transportation, transfers, photographs, medical services,

Most of the food is included. If you go to a specialty restaurant, you will pay a surcharge per person.

Soft drinks and alcohol is extra.

Bingo and gambling is extra.

Shows are included.

Excursions are extra.

Tips are extra. Go with the suggested guidelines that will be sent in your cruise package with the tickets.

Photographs are extra.

The mini-bar in your cabin is extra.

Cruising is fun but you do have extras. This is a vacation, enjoy it and do not think about the tipping and extras.

I just got back from the NCL Star to Alaska. NCL sucks.
The only thing that is included are your meals. All alcoholic drinks and soda's are extra - you pay for them with your Key Card - which gets applied to a credit card at the end of the cruise. Or you can pay your bill at the main lobby desk at the end of the cruise in cash.

You will have to pay in the casino, at the bar, pay for photos, and spa services. All of your food is included, but they may have a premium restaurant that requires a charge.

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
Yes, Norwegian cruises area all inclusive just like all other cruise lines. Your cabin and all food is included. So are coffee, tea, juices and punches. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverage are NOT included. So watch your bar tab. Also, Norwegian has a large number of "alternative" restaurants where they charge a "cover charge/gratuity/service charge" of $10 to $20 per person per visit. These are places like Tex-Mex, French, Italian, Sushi, or other specialty places. You can always eat dinner in the main dining room, but these specialty restaurants will cost you.

You also have to pay for any tours that you take from the ship.

When you arrive at the port to check in you (each passenger) will receive a key card which will serve as your room key, charge card for anything you buy on ship (i.e.,drinks, souvenir) and its also your pass to get on and off ship in each port. The hidden costs on a cruise are your tab after the cruise for drinks (alcoholic and sodas), tours, and gratuities. Many ships now add the recommended gratuity to your on-board tab. The gratuity is about $10 to $12 per day per person. You can give more if you want. Tours can add hundreds to your final bill, depending upon how many stop the ship makes and what you want to do.

You will be responsible for the tips at the nend of cruise, any alcohol or soft drinks ( coke, pepsi) and the photos that are taken on board. Also anything that you need like magazines, candy, wine, cigatettes, etc. Have Fun

We recently went on a Norweigan Cruise to Hawaii. It is like most all cruise ships, you pay for nothing....except your tips. There are extra services, "special" restaurants, shops, StarBucks, Spa Services, Gym CLASSES, Beverages (everything but OJ, Water, Milk and Tea)....everything you need is paid for however-room, food, gym access, pool access. Have a good trip!

Cruise ships are typically "most inclusive"

There is no charge to eat in most restaurants, however a few do have essentially a cover charge. It's a per person price that is not based on what you order.

There is no charge for room service.

You will have to pay for alcohol and soft drinks

Spa services have a charge

Headed to the Norwegian Pearl? There is a charge to bowl over in Bliss.

Most onboard activities are free, but some may have a modest charge.

Shore excursions are not included.
