All the ships include basic buffet and sit down meals.Soft drinks and alcohol are extra and a tad pricey but not too bad, about $20-25 for a six of beer. That's where they get you. You put down a credit card when you first get on the boat and they start charging it right away. You then get a room card, which is also the card you carry and buy your drinks with and just sign a reciept. Personally, I thought the speciallty restaurants were way over priced, not really worth it. I can go to a fancier place at home, get better food and pay less. I wish I would have taken the $114 I spent on the 1 dinner for 2 and put that towards something else. All in all though, the ships are all very nice with great food. Just be ready to spend a little more then you expect to and you will have a great time! There is too much to do on the boats and not enough time in every day to get to all of it. One thing for sure, you guys will have a great time and you defineately will not get bored or go hungry! |

Your basic food is paid for, but there are some eateries on-board that charge a nominal fee. Alcohol is not free and if you want bottle water or soda, by the pool for example, you have to pay for that as well.
Shop around. There are many cruise lines to choose from - visit their websites, they have all their fees and what is included listed. |

Food is included with all cruises (except if you go on easycruise)
So 'b' is not right when claiming you have to pay for food. And there is plenty of it available onboard a ship.
Some cruise lines do have specialty Restaurants - and if you want to eat there you need to pay a cover charge.
Yet you will not starve if you do not go to the specialty Restaurant.
Mostly you will have to pay for all drinks except for Ice Tea and Ice Water.
You will need to pay the tips to the waiters and room steward and any extras you have, such as shore excursions, purchases in the Shops, Spa and Beauty salon treatments, Casino. |

No, the ships I worked on were not all inclusive, food was free (as much as you liked) but drinks were not. |

Well I only went on one cruise. It was royal caribbean. For the most part, it is inclusive, but you have to pay for all drinks, alcoholic or not. And also, you will want to bring money for shopping, and the casino/game room. Also, if you want to use the computer, they cost money. And some games, like bingo, where you can win money. But for the most part, it could be all included, with the exception of drinks, which you can buy a pass for in the beginning of the trip, which is very economical. But anyway, the cruise was a blast, and I'm sure you'll think the money was well worth it! |

If you want all inclusive then you have to pay for it. Other wise you pay for the extras like food while on board. |
