I personally love cruising, but you have to ask yourself if it would be for you. The only downfall I would see is that staying at a stationary resort is going to be a little more relaxing just because there isn't as much to do. Cruises are filled with all kinds of activities for all age groups. The boats are huge nowadays, so feeling cooped up isn't really an issue.

Cruises are really socially interactive because normally you dine with people you don't know, which I happen to like most of the time. Of course you can always move if you don't like the people you are sitting with.

As far as activities go. Pool games, movies, karaoke, nightly shows, great food, Bingo, nightclubs, basketball. They even have ships with ice skating rinks! That would be on Rotyal Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean is my favorite so far. I have also been on Princess, and I am cruising on Carnival soon. The food on Royal Caribbean has been the best, and also the service.

If you are really young, I think Carnival is supposed to be the cruise line for you. 30-40 cruisers should probably go with Royal Caribbean. Princess was definitely an older crowd. I heard Holland America was an older crowd. Hope any of this helps!

As far as where you should go: Apretty standard cruise itinerary is Western Caribbean. Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I happen to like this itinerary and I think it is a great place to start!

sure cruises are fun. if you have never been on one, i would suggest going on a 3 or 4 day one to make sure you really do like it before committing to a 7 day or longer. i've been on carnival and royal caribbean and likes both.

Cruises are the best vacations ever! Imagine...you get to live on a ship, floating peacefully on the seas, leaving all your worries behind on port. It's a totally relaxing and wholesome experience! The best cruise line (and the world's most popular) is Carnival; they have great party atmosphere if you're looking for fun. They also have some quite areas for lounging if you're looking to relax. The perfect combination of both!

If you've never been on a cruise, you will like Carnival. It has the best "bang for the buck". The food and entertainment are great and the price is quite affordable. If you're looking for luxury, Royal Carribean is the way to go. NCL (Norwegian) is also very nice but not quite as upscale. I have been on all of the above. The most important factor in my decision was the ports of call and the age of the ship. Don't forget to take these into consideration. Happy sailing!

Cruises are the best! Especially if it's your first time (seeing your ship for the first time, being waited on hand and foot, the mystery of sailing into a place you have never been). My favorite cruise line is Norwegian. They really cater to you and their ships (if manufactured after 2001) are very nice. You should definetely go to Alaska on your first cruise. It will be the best experience of your life!

I want my ¡OLD! mtv
They're decent but not the best.

I've been on Carnival ships and Royal Caribbean and I'd have to say RC was the better of the 2.

Both operate ships all over the place in many locations including Europe along with North America. Both offer Canadian trips and also service to stops in Alaska.

As for the service on-board they were both good. I guess it just comes down to the prices that you find but both were equal in their level of enjoyability.

Cruises are the most fantastic holiday that you can ever have!!! I just came from a cruise on board 'The Norwegian Wind'. It was an awesome experience!!! I made a lot of friends crew members, especially Aldrick (steward), Erik (steward), Shaun ( cruise director) and a lot more stewards and waiters!! They are always there to grant your wishes!! There were shows and alot of entertainment. There was ping pong tournaments, Scavenger hunts, Mr hairy chest, Mr sexy legs, photography lessons, crafts, shows, music, disco, karaoke, trivia and a lot of activities to do!!!
WE went to alaska. We visited three well known cities; Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway. the cabins are always clean. there was a chocoholic buffet!!!!! You can always go and eat whenever you want and dress how you want!! You can go for a swim too!!!
For me it was fantastic!!! You could also see whales from the ship!!

I went to Bermuda on Norwegian Cruse Line's Norwegian Crown.

Hit all 3 major ports, had a blast.

My Parents said that the Royal Caribbean is better, comparing the two to the Waldorf Astoria to the Hilton.

Hands down - the best cruise lines are Royal Caribberan or Celebrity if you like things a little upscale. If you like K-Mart go on Carnival or NCL.

missjen455
cruises are the best vacation for your money, BY FAR. i got a 5 day trip to the western caribbean on carnival cruise lines for 410 dollars. you have your food, room, entertainnment etc all paid for. the only thing thats not included in the bulk amount is alcohol and souveniers. ive been on both Royal Caribbean and Carnival. I honestly liked Carnival because it was cheaper and more of a party atmosphere. Plus, there might also be a port in your home city which means no air fare!!

Cruises are fun! I've had a blast everytime I've gone. I've done the Ensenada cruise from Long Beach a few different times. Imagine gambling, clubs, bars open till 4, girls going crazy...

Good times are always had on cruises. I always recommend going, unless you're boring.

Cruises are horrible.Imagine tacky people traveling on a bus on the water.
