Are jeans ok for casual nights on a cruise?

Listen- I just got off of a Royal Caribbean cruise on Sunday, so I know what I'm talking about.

Jeans and a nice top are acceptable for casual nights. That's perfectly fine; casual means casual. There were plenty of people in jeans for dinner on my cruise. Just to warn you, though, some people will wear dresses and fancy clothes for casual nights, but don't feel funny.

Dinner on Royal Caribbean is "fine dining". The waiter will often come and lay your napkin in your lap for you or pull your chair out for you to sit down. It's quite fancy, but you'll get used to it.

There were 2 formal dinners on the cruise I was on... so just make sure there's only one for you before you only pack one formal outfit. :) Unless, of course, you only want to go to one formal dinner anyway. haha

you can wear jeans, just be sure to dress them up!
maybe with heels.......

yah, as long as their nice jeans, maybe dark jeans, and as long as you are wearing a nice top and nice shoes.....don't wear a t-shirt with ripped up jeans.....wear something appropriate.

From recent experience on the Norwegian GEM cruise last 3 months that they have excellent fine dining experiences. They have lots of resturants. Most you have dress up for but others you can get away with jeans.

i went on a celebrity cruise and cocktail dresses were a must! every evening..during the day you can wear a baithing suit and w/e but i brought all my prom dresses for the evening

Yes but i think a dress is much better to wear on a royal Caribbean cruise, my friends mother had the same problem she wanted to wear jeans, so she decided to take jeans in her bag so then she felt more comfortable and most of the time she left the dress on and changed into her jeans some times in the cruise.

You are not supposed to wear jeans, but they will not say you cannot eat if you do show up in jeans. Maybe get some really dark colored jeans because they are a little more dressy.

Almost every ship has other options for dinner, like a buffet or other restaurants. So if you feel like dressing really casual...jeans and a t-shirt...just eat at one of those places that night.

Wonder, no more, "JEANS" are NOT Slacks!!!
The 'mere' mention of Slacks vs Jeans on Casual night should tell you!
Slacks are Woman's Pants!!
Take some PRIDE in yourself....you're on a Wonderful Cruise .... wear Slacks FOR ONCE, it won't kill you.
Leave the Jeans for going ashore or just 'meandering' around!
