The deck area closes for dinner at 6. All the chairs are put up. The jacuzzi which is usually on a higher deck closes later--usually at 10--though my last couple the jacuzzi has been off/closed/broken.
How many bathing suits depends on you. Will you be at the pool most of the time like me or will you be avoiding the sun and enjoying the casino? For me, I bring one for each day. But I hate putting on a wet suit. Plus as we have pictures, it helps me remember what day it is since I wore different suits each day. |

No, most pools are not always open. Carnival closes theirs at 8 pm... Princess we found some open until 10, Holland closed them at 6 pm. Some hot tubs were open,, but as the previous answer said chairs were put up and alot of hot tubs and pools were closed. I found that discouraging.
Most people party in the evenings rather than swim, apparently.
I would say 2 suits would be fine. They dry fast... 3 if you really are concerned. We always get a balcony cabin, so... they dry almost immediately out there.. if you don't have a balcony cabin.. I would say 3 suits, 2 coverups. Most ships do not use chlorine in their pools, they fill right from the ocean, which is nice since chlorine eats up the elastic in your bathing suits. Hot tubs do, however, so if you go in them, rinse your suit out well afterwards.

I just went on a cruise last November through Carnival to Mexico. It was fabulous! You will LOVE it! Anyway... the pool closed at 8 pm i think and the jacuzzi at 10 pm.
I went on an 8 day cruise and swam about every other day and brought only 2 bathing suits and was fine. |
