Some cruise lines do have one way cruises but they are not regularly scheduled itineraries. Cunard and some other cruise lines have regularly scheduled trans-Atlantic cruises from New York to England and Spain.
The one way cruises that may end in Florida are called "REPOSITIONING" cruises. They are one way because the ships that normally sail out of NY and Boston will move to Florida for the winter by cruising an unusual itinerary, like with a stop in Norfolk and Bermuda, and then maybe St Thomas before they finally get to Florida where they will sail from Miami or Ft Lauderdale for the winter.
You have to check with the cruise lines to see when they will have these type cruises. Some may be advertised on their web sites as repositioning. |

The only one way cruises from NY to Florida, are the repositioning cruises, which means they are moving the ship to the new area for new itineraries.
This usually happens in the spring months...March and Autumn, September and October.
The cruise lines will often times offer really good pricing on these cruises.

In the good old days there were what were called tramp steamers, small ships that carried cargo and a couple of passengers, if you are brave I believe there are a few that still do, if you are the adventurous type try and find one of these. |
