Are there phones on Cruise Lines? |

For calling from the ship, you would call directly from your stateroom phone. (No such thing as phonecards are working there, since the call is going through a Satellite)
Prices are between 12 to 15 US$ per minute - so this is a rather expensive call.
Once you get to the Bahamas you could by local phone cards and use them on public phones in the Bahamas.
But you can not use those or other phonecards while you are onboard a ship. |

Yes there sure are. As well as internet. Most cruise lines, have a Satellite phone call rate at about $8/MIN... I am not positive on the internet rate. But I wouldn't worry about making phone calls, but if so, it will just be charged to your room. Also, you may want to call your cruise line for an exact rate. |

There are phones in your cabin. I would suggest to not worry about making any phone calls unless its an emergency. Rates for calling are extremely high! Be sure to find out all the info on rates before you pick up that phone. |

Call your cell phone provider, they will tell you everything you need to know. I'm going & I just called the other day and found out that it will be cheaper for me to use my cell and call home while in port than while on the ship. My cell will also be cheaper than using the phones on the ship. The cruise lines website should tell you what their rates are. |

In addition to what others have said many ships are now offering cell phone service. It is about $2.50 a minute.

To find out what type of card you'll need to purchase, check with the cruise line itself. |
