Yes. They used to be known as "ocean liners". Check out the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Victoria, both Cunard ships. |

Not like there used to be, since people nowadays fly. The Queen Mary 2 still does transatlantic trips, but the also do world cruises - so it is not a "only transatlantic ship" anymore. |

There are huge ferries that run from Seattle to Vancouver. I have been on large ones in Scandinavia. You normally sit in large areas that may have a TV or entertainment. For an added charge you can get a room. There is a charge for all food.
I believe that the QE2 was just retired.
