If you go on a cruise to the Bahamas you will have maybe 2 or 3 port stop options. Most cruise lines do have their "private island" destination in the Bahamas where they take the ship for a private beach party.
The Better place to go is the Caribbean which has options for cruise ports from the Western Caribbean stop of Grand cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Jamaica, Balize, as well as Panama Canal and Costa Rica. Then Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises go to Puerto Rica, St Thomas and St Johns, St Martin, St Croix, ST Lucia, Tortola, Barbados, Antigua, Grenada and the ABC islands, Aruba, Bonaire, and Carasao. The Caribbean has many more optiosn for posrt stops even though many of the islands look the same. |

My overall preference is the Southern Caribbean. Those islands include Aruba, Dominica, Barbados, Grenada etc... I feel they have the most to offer in water activities and less chances of a hurricane!!! If you need more information or if you need help, let me know at dena@thecruiseplanner.com
