Best Cruise for Couple in late 20s/early 30s??

My husband and I would like to take a cruise. It will be our first and we are pretty open to where we go.

Our only hang up is that my husband can not swim, so water activites are not a big priority to us. We are more looking forward to a romantic getaway, entertainment, food, and sight seeing. Any Suggestions??

Since you guys aren't big on water activities, you might want to try Alaska. You probably won't have many (or any) water options on that trip. Since it's already October though, you probably will be too late, as I think Alaska cruises only run through September.

I've been on two cruiselines, Princess and Holland America. When I went on the Princess cruise, I was in high school and don't remember all that much about it. The Holland America cruise I went on a few years later. It was great, as long as you're not going on the cruise to hang out with other people your age. I was about 23 when I went, and was one of the only guests younger than about 50 on the entire cruise. This didn't bother me though, as I'm not into partying or anything. Other cruiselines would probably be better for those looking to drink, dance, etc. (although these activities were offered on Holland America).

Both Princess and Holland America had tons of shore excursions, great food, on-board activities, gyms, pools, etc. I would recommend either of these cruiselines.

I took one cruise to the Caribbean, and didn't have a hard time finding things to do, even though I don't like to swim. I was able to visit a turtle farm, a butterfly conservatory, ride in a submarine, ride a glass-bottomed boat, ride in a semi-submersible (half boat/half submarine), do plenty of shopping, visit some Mayan ruins, plus do tons of stuff on the ship. So just because your husband can't swim doesn't mean you guys can't go to a place you'd normally swim at.

You can look up shore excursions for most cruises on the cruiseline's website. Then you can get a better idea of what kinds of things are available to you.

Check out Royal Caribbean. They have great ships with tons of on board activities. Anything from Rock climbing walls to boxing rings and even ice skating. Check this out.

I'd recommend Royal Caribbean. You don't say when you want to travel, but if a beach vacation is not exactly what you're looking for, consider cruises to Alaska or Europe.

Please let me know if I can help you in any way (ebrener57@gmail.com).

A good site to search for cruises is at

"Amazing Tours and Travel"

http://www.ytbtravel.com/amazingtoursandtravel

This will allow you to compare cruise lines and save.
