I have been on about 20 cruises with 4 different cruise lines and so here's what I suggest based on my experiences. In my opinion the cruise line that would be best for your group would be Royal Caribbean and the ships that you should look for cruises on are the RC's Freedom Class and Voyager Class ships:

You can look at the features of these ships on these two web links:

Freedom Class:
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis...

Voyager Class:
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis...

Both of these type ships have activities and programs for kids and adults and adults only areas as well as kids only areas on the ship. They have things like ice skating, roller blading, mini-golf course, a full sized basketball/tennis court, a free ice show, and program for kids and teens called Adventure Ocean that includes a special area on ships just for kids of various age groups and professional staff persons to supervise them in free programs all day. The ships have a teen disco that is open until 2:00 AM every evening. I have cruised on both of these type ships multiple times and they are fabulous. The Voyager class ships are a somewhat smaller version of the Freedom class and have a few things that are different.

You can get cruises on these ships out of Port Canaveral, Ft Lauderdale, and Miami, Florida and also out of Puerto Rico. You will find great prices on cruises on these ships. When you look at the web sites look for "special pricing" and other specials.

These ships also have what are called specialty restaurants where you can have a family get together. One of the restaurants is called Chopps and the other is called Portofino. But you will really not need to reserve a restaurant because the main dining rooms are grand places, usually two or three levels and with magnificent views of the ocean. You can request a family table (usually the largest is 12) when you reserve so that you can have your group together. The main dining rooms have great menus and there is no extra fee for the meals like there would be in the specialty restaurants.

Check out Carnival, they have what you are looking for. Make sure you look for a ship that has a supper club (for very fine dining) otherwise the dining room is awesome and better than most resturants we go to normally. they also have camp carnival which offers activites from birth to 18 you guys will have an awesome time

Princess Cruise line has been rated #1 for multi generational cruising.

Fish are friends, not food (:
Disney! No, there won't be 1000000 kids running around. They have great programs for babies all the way up to high school. and they also have a nice resturants too.(:
