Best cruise for younger adult crowd (age 20-25)...?

Some of my friends and myself are thinking about going on a cruise, but none of us have been before. We are looking for a cruise that has people similar to our age group (between 20-30), but is not a "party" boat like I've heard Carnival described... (I heard one person describe having fun on Carnival as "getting drunk and puking fun"... and we're not really into that...) Can anyone give us some suggestions on which cruise lines to take?

Also was reading up on the Disney Cruise and I liked what they seemed to offer... but I don't want "The Mouse" trying to run up and hug me all the time... anyone know of any cruise that offers amenities similar to the Disney Cruise?

I think that you are going to have a hard time finding a cruise like the one you describe most younger crowds on a cruise are their to party, but you can still have fun with people not of your age group if you want to avoid the wild party scene and it also sound like you have your own group so they definitely will be able to keep you company. I am 25 and enjoyed my norwegian cruise they have plenty to offer and are not a party ship like carnival. Most the people on norwegian where older couples, families and some younger couples. I didn't really see any single party groups on that cruise plus norwegian has great prices. I found a great deal through vacationstogo.com

I think that Carnival will be the best option. I mean it is going to have the younger partier crowd and a lower price and Disney is a great line and you will hvae a ton of funbut it is a tad bit more exspensive and I really think that no matter what budget comes into play the most for this type of thing as you want to do shore excursions and go shopping and everything else.

I have heard Princess cruises are the most fun but did you know you could have your own online travel agency and save huge on your travels PLUS make money when your friends and family book through your site. take advantage of FAM trips which are lavish vacations offered to travel agents at HUGE discounts and sometimes free, also you can get free upgrades on things like airlines, hotels, etc... its worth at least looking into... check out this site http://www.ytb.com/juliegraham
i have my contact info with name, phone, email feel free to contact me with questions -

I have to say that I disagree with whoever said that the only thing young people can do on Carnival is get puking drunk. We have cruised with Carnival quite a bit and there are SOOOO many options on a fun ship.

Monica T
Although, i never saw anyone puke on Carnival, I really enjoyed Royal Caribbean. It's a great time.

do Not go on a cruise. They are so boring. You are better off going to on a holiday somewhere that interests you. Trust me you will get bored on a boat after 1 day.
