Best place to search for Caribbean cruises?

I'm thinking of taking my family on a cruise but have never done it before. I've been looking on Travelocity and Orbitz, but is there somewhere better I'm missing?

I urge you to contact a travel agent who books lots of cruises! It costs you nothing, and can save you a bundle. Also, a travel agent has expertise to get you on a cruise line and ship that you are most likely to enjoy, and can answer questions without a hidden agenda. A travel agent can get you hooked up with appropriate air travel, with a hotel if you arrive a day before sailing, and with transfers. Of extreme importance is the insurance! Insurance is not required, but is very helpful, and there are several companies who offer coverage -- some cover cancellation even if it's because of prior-existing conditions, and some provide coverage for untoward incidents while on the trip. You can skip insurance, but I will tell you that my sister and I had a wonderful cruise booked for this October, and she was recently diagnosed with cancer, had surgery last week, and our trip is not to be. Our insurance is set to refund all our money, which we plan to use on a trip next spring! Without the coverage we would have lost over $3500.

The best way is to browse the major cruise lines web pages. Or ask a travel agent that has cruises on its programe. Its better to ask and read a lot ahead of your booking rather than make some stupid misstake. Also compare different cruise lines and ships to find your best choice. Since there is nothing like the best cruise, only the best for you! Cruisining is a fantastic holiday by the way. Johan.

you can try expedia or cruises.com or just go through whatever cruise line you want to take. The prices aren't that different on "discount" sites unless you are getting one last minute.

royal caribbean or celebrity cruises are the best. check out there websites directly

I cruise a lot! I always book my trips through the cruise line directly. If I'm cruising Carnival, I use Carnival. If I'm cruising Royal Caribbean, then I book through them. Also, the earlier you book, the better your price. Pay a down payment, and pay it out like a lay-a-way program. Those travel sites, (travelocity, orbitz, cheap tickets) can't really give you a better rate than the cruise line can. Good Luck, I just returned from a cruise to Mexico!

Here's a bunch:

http://ca.deals.travelzoo.com/cruises

http://cruises.bookit.com/

http://www.redtag.ca/cruises.php

http://www.cruiseshipcenters.com/

http://www.travelocity.ca/ca/cruises/0,2...

OR JUST GOOGLE UP "cheap cruise" and you'll find tons and tons of results. (When you go on the site(s), they'll ask you where you want to go, so you choose Caribbean, and they'll give you so many deals and options.

Good luck with this all!
