Check out Princess Cruises. They are having a sale that is about half off for two people. Princess Cruises are very nice. My husband and I went on a Princess Cruise a few years ago to Alaska and loved that cruise line.

The Alaska cruise season is mid-May through mid-September only. The best prices will be the first two cruises and the last two cruises each season; in other words the May and September cruises. You will get the best price with any cruise line by booking early, like now for Sept or next year, or by looking for the specials that each cruise line offers.

There are several ways to have a cruise to Alaska. You can cruise north from San Francisco, Seattle, or Vancouver Canada or cruise south from Anchorage (Whittier or Seward). Cruises typically cruise the "inside passage" which is a waterway much like a river where you can in most places see land on both sides of the ship. It provides a very smooth ride on that part of the cruise. Cruises typically go to Juneau (the capitol), and Ketchikan, Skagway, and stop at one or more glaciers like Glacier Bay National Park and College Fjord. Some cruises do other port stops. So you need to pay attention to which itinerary (port stops) the cruises will have and when you compare prices pay attention to the departure port, port stops, number of days, and whether the cruise is one-way or round trip.

I have cruise on all of the cruise lines that I listed for you and they are all great, especially Celebrity. We did our cruise to Alaska on Princess and it was great also.
