Cabins on Cruises? |
Looking at interior cabins on Carnival. I am confused as it says the cabin sleeps 4 but it only has two twin beds. Does anyone know how this works? Do they bring it cots or do the beds fold out somehow. Looking for 2 adults and two young children.

They can push the 2 twins together or leave them seperate. The other 2 bed come down from the ceiling, so basically they are bunk beds. During the day they are kept up so that they are out of the way. When the room stewert turns down the beds at night they also set up the bunks. Have fun |

Chances are.. they will put a T shaped contraption to make your twin bed a double, it fills in the crack in between and your bed is made up as one. The couch opens up to a small double, quite suitable for children. Bring an alarm clock, in a room with no windows, it is very easy to sleep half the day away!

A quad cabin on Carnival has two twin beds that can be put together to form one king. They have two upper berths in the wall or ceiling that are opened at night, and put away during the day.
We have had this type of cabin three times on three different Carnival ships. They were cramped with the four of us, but we only used the room to sleep, shower and dress, so it was not a big problem. |

The beds are two single beds with two bunk beds above recessed into the bulkhead. The cabin steward will lower the two upper beds during the evening when you are at dinner. We have used a similar cabin on a cruise when our children were 7 and 9 and never had a problem.
Make no mistake, with 2 adults and 2 children, even on a Carnival Ship, which has larger cabins than most, it will be cosy, especially at shower time.
Remember that mostly you will only be in the cabin for sleeping and washing and the kids will love it. Mine did. |

They type bedding configuration you will have will depend somewhat on the ship. The basic configuration is two twins beds that are pushed together for a couple (unless you don't want it that way) and then the extra beds are either pulled down from the wall or ceiling, or a sofa bed made up to two. |
