Can I book my cruise solo today, and invite a friend along later? Reserve stateroom now, add friend later? ?

Cruise lines are always encouraging to book in advance. But, traveling solo means I'll pay for double occupancy. I'm willing to do that, but I'd rather find someone I choose to share my adventure. I just may not know exactly who this person will be at the time I book. Something tells me, 'book now, invite friend later' isn't an option. :(

Talk with your travel agent. They will know your cruise line's rules. We just went on a cruise, and they believe the more the merrier and they DO want you to be happy. They would love to have another person buying drinks, paying for shore excursions, paying for the extra restaurants...you would like to have another person to share time and adventures with...both of you would be happy. The best way to do that is ask. Ask your travel agent and if you are booking with the cruise line, call them and ask. Go to their website and ask. It will make you all happy!

booking "now" inviting a person later is probably not an option. I would price your cruise and call the cruise line to ask them this question. My thought is that they would charge you single suppliment if you bought now with out another person in your cabin.
I would talk to a travel agent who specializes in Cruising.

yes, it will just cost you a little more, and a name change fee.

John M
yes you can book the room and pay for it now and if you friend wants to come along later they will adjust the fare for him to pay

it is not hard and ask your travel agent

yes you can but sometimes you'll have to move your cabin or upgrade.
your price will change but for the better, as you'll be splitting the cost of your cabin by 2.
