You will need to pay a deposit when you book. The final payment is due 60-75 days before the sail date. Booking early is the best option. You usually get the lowest price, and the best chance fore upgrades.

Well you can book now but you have to make a deposit fee and everything and then by January of 2008 I think that you have to make the full payment and you could put it on your credit card and make payments that way. If you want the best deal talk to a travel agent and or the cruise line directly and shop around at all the travel sites and see what deals you find. There are some great deals out there.

Hi. I have been on 2 cruises with Carnival. I booked through AAA. I usually go 1 year in advance. I put a down payment on. And everymonth sent in payments. I had to have it paid off 30 days in advance. I think the downpayment was around $500. That is the only way I can afford it. Like I said I go through AAA, but I'm sure any travel agent should be able to help you. Have fun!

We paid a portion up front and then the rest was due later. Guess it depends on your booking. We also have paid all up front and saved$$$.

Yes, initially you have to put a deposit down to hold your room and lock in the price. After that you have anywhere from 45-70 days prior to cruise, depending on length of cruise and cruise line, to pay it off. You can make payments whenever you want as long as it is paid off by the final payment date, you also have up until then to cancel.

Terri
You'll pay a deposit, then have to pay the balance by a certain date (at least with Royal Caribbean).

Your travel agent can answer this best. We booked our June 2007 cruise in November 2006. We had to pay 50% up front but the rest was not due until late March. So you can save in the mean time. I'm not sure you can lock in without that initial downpayment, ask your travel agent.

gizmo0013
Yes we only paid a deposit until closer to time for the cruise.

All cruiselines require a deposit. Some are less than others. Here is a general breakdown...
The following is for a 7 day cruise...

Carnival $250 pp
Royal Caribbean $500 per cabin
Princess $500 per cabin
Norwegian $250 pp

If the cruise is shorter, the deposit is less. If the cruise is longer, the deposit is more. You can work out a payment schedule with your travel agent, if you have one. If not, get one.

Final payment is generally due about 90 days prior to sailing.

Good Luck with your plans.

Sincerely,
Dolores

The books open a year out of the sailing date so now is the time to do it. You will have to make a deposit and the final payment would be due 45 days prior to the sailing date or as specified in the brochure. You can use a Travel Agency and I am sure they would gladly accept your payments.

You are not too far out to assure yourself of the best spot on the ship. You might be too far out to get the best deal although many ships have early booking discounts.

There are just a lot of great deals out there, some even at the last minute but to guarantee that you get the ship and location on the ship book early.

Yes. You would have to put down a deposit now. Usually around $250 for a 7-night cruise. Less for a shorter cruise, more for a longer or special sailing.

Final payment is usually due around 60 days prior to sailing.

kimmer727
You will need to put down a $250.00 deposit per person. The balance will be due 60 days before your sail date. You can make payments up until that time if you like.
