Can anyone recommend a cruise line for a family cruise at Christmas time?

Carnival is my favorite they are a lot of fun and also the cheapest cruise line. They have lots of activities for adults and children. I have been on other Cruise's but Carnival is the funnest and the cheapest makes since to me

Carnival is pretty family friendly. Also, the Disney Cruise Line.

You didn't say what ages your family is but I am recommending the Royal CAribbean ships, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. They both do Caribbean cruises during the Christmas season. Both ships are brand new and cater to families. They have unique activities that other ships and lines do not have like the rock climbing wall, the ice skating rink, and the new RC exclusive Flow Rider which allows you to surf while on ship. The ship has a pool area exclusively for kids and an adults only "solarium" that has a pool and hot tubs. The ship is huge but is very smooth sailing and it has some of the best cabins I have experienced on a ship. The food and entertainments were great also. We took the Freedom last November and really enjoyed it, especially the private RC island in LAbadee. It is the best cruise line private island I have ever been to. Its huge and they even have a free tram to take you from one end to the other. It has a full range of activities like snorkle, scuba, para-sail, and jet ski, along with many beaches.

You can't go wrong with Freedom or Liberty.

I say Carnival. Carnival is a more family oriented line year round. I read that last year, there were many activites for Christmas cruises. Every kid on the ship was given a gift from Santa Claus. The Camp Carnival kids decorated ornaments to hang on a big Christmas tree. The whole ship was decorated. The staff and crew went around singing Christmas carols, and encouarged the passengers to join in. Christmas shows, such as the Polar Express, were shown on cabin televisions. I hope this helps!

I would say Carnival, but if are thinking about going, you better get on the ball. Christmas time is the busiest travel time, and a lot of cruises are getting booked up for that week. I personally are going on a Carnival Cruise 12-23 to 12-30 and the Carnival Valor was booked 82 % and I booked in March.

I highly recommend Carnvial, both for good price and FUN!!! We are planning our 5th cruise with Carnival and have never had any problems.

Our family (extended) 18 people total is going with Carnival the week before Christmas this year. THey have been super easy to work with in planning. I went with them earlier and they seem to have something for everyone.

DISNEY all the way no matter what your kids ages!!!! Trust me, the service disney provides is the best. They make Christmas so special and spectacular!
Just to name a few things that make disney cruises so special:
*Disneys private island Castaway Cay (which they do decorate for the holidays)
Family beach, Teenager beach with volleyball and game room, and private adult beach with mahi mahi and drinks!!!!
*The childrens club which your kids will practically BEGGG to go and stay, they give you a beeper if they need you but you'll never hear it beep...LOL
*Movie theater which shows recent outcoming movies
*Play theater where their shows are rated #1 cruising shows the little kids love it and its filled with adult and teenage humor so believe me you'll have a good time to
*the staterooms are 15-20% bigger than carnival and other liners and whoever designed them made the most of the space. on carnival i feel sooooo closed in and its like a jail cell.
*Unlimited food on top deck hotdogs, bugers, pizza, icecream

Believe me there are many many more reasons.

Disney goes above and beyond to provide anything you need or want.
