The rule on Royal Caribbean is no booze for under 21s. On board ship, you pay for your drinks with a drinks card. You buy this from reception and they are supposed to check your age. Pick a time when they are busy and frown a lot. |

Unfortunately, they will not let you drink alcohol on the boat. However, when you port and go places, they might let you drink depending on the individual laws of that country/territory. I would look up where you're going to see what their laws are. |

It depends on the Cruise line. Carnival is pretty strict about it. My sister was 20 and was under 2 weeks from her 21st birthday and couldn't drink. My gut- don't count on drinking while on the ship.
However, once you reach any islands/ports you will be traveling to, you will be able to drink as the drinking age is 18.
Edit- I have heard Norweigan Cruise Line is very liberal and my 18 year old friends were able to drink. |

I think this answers your question.
Effective with all sailings commencing after July 27, 2006, the minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on all Royal Caribbean International ships is 21. On cruises departing from European and South American countries, where the legal drinking age is typically lower than 21, a parent who is sailing with his or her son(s) and/or daughter(s) who is between the ages of 18 to 20, may sign a waiver allowing the 18 to 20 year old to consume alcoholic beverages.
So I think it depends on where you board and if your parents will sign the waiver. |

Nope - see http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/feature/alcoholpolicies-090707.cfm
If you were sailing from a country other than the US, you would be allowed to, but since you come from a country with the attitudes towards alcohol of a maiden aunt, you're out of luck. |

No they won't let you buy any drinks because you still are underage even if by a number of days. If you are going with others of legal drinking age see if they would be willing to buy your drinks. |

If the ship's rules say you must be age 21, that means 21. Period. No bartender will serve you since that puts his job at risk. If someone purchases alcohol for you that is between you and the purchaser, but if the bartender sees what is going on the bartender will be required to refuse to sell that alcohol. "Almost 21" does not cut in on board ship any more than it does on shore. |

No you will not be able to drink...Do you think us people who pay mega bucks for a relaxing cruise want to see some bimbo falling about drunk...Thats why we go on a cruise to get away from young lager louts. If you want to drink go to Ibiza with the rest of them. |
