You can buy it. But, you need to "declare" it when you get back on the ship and basically their hold it for you till you get off the ship. Basically the cruise lines want you to buy their overprice drinks so that's why they do that. Totally bummer!! |

In an open cup, no, you gotta drink up while on shore.
If it's in a sealed container, like you're bringing back a gift, then they will keep it for you in a safe, secure luggage compartment until the cruise is over. Sometimes they will let it slide if you're just bringing back one item, and you can smuggle into your stateroom.
Basically they just don't want people getting plastered on the ship... if Carnival sells you the drinks, they can keep an eye on you and make sure you don't overindulge (and plus, if you become a drunken fool and disturb other passengers, at least they made a profit on it). |

Yes, but you are limited on the amount you can caarry on with you; in your luggage, you are allowed more. Unsure on the exact amounts - I ran into this coming back from China - I had several bottles confiscated, but did get several with me. |

Yes you can, but in limited amounts. You will have to declare it at customs when you get back to the U.S. I believe there is no tax if it's 1/2 gallon or less. |

Yes, but they will take it from you and deliver it to your stateroom on the last night. Or, you can chance it and stick it in your bag. |
