It depends on the Cruise line. Best to check with the Cruise Line you're interested in and see what packages they can offer you.

Good luck and Congratulations!

Most of the cruise lines use a service called the wedding Experience. You would book your cruise through a travel agent and then you would call the Wedding Experience to orchestrate the wedding. Their phone number is 1-877-58-3556. We used Seven Seas Travel 1-800-951-5581 (sevenseastravel.com).

Life is not an episode of The Love Boat -- the captain cannot marry you unless he is licensed as a Marriage Commissioner or Justice of the Peace in the jurisdiction the ship is in. You can only legally be married while in port -- you cannot be legally married at sea. Vow Renewals can take place at sea because they are just words -- it is not a legal ceremony.

I was a onboard wedding planner for years. Getting married onboard a ship is not as glamourous as you think. Unless your ship has a wedding chapel, weddings usually take place in the disco during the day -- the dirty, disgusting disco where people get drunk and hook up later. There are options in which you can be whisked away to a beach location when the ship docks.

I do not recommend booking any weddings with The Wedding Experience. They simply do not care about their guests. I could write a whole book on the horror stories experienced by brides who used that company. Although I did not work for TWE directly, I did have to work 'with' them on several occasions. I was always the one consoling the bride because TWE 'forgot' to submit their wedding paperwork to the government officials on time and then I got to tell the bride "We have arranged the ceremony, but you won't be legally married because Jamaica didn't get the items they needed on time." After over 200 weddings with TWE, I cannot think of even one in which the bride said "Wow -- TWE took really good care of us." Instead, the bride would be thankful to finally meet someone in person (poor me) because all of the TWE dealings are done by phone and email. According to the majority of couples, TWE rarely returned calls or emails once the wedding contract was signed (ie once they had got their money).

Phew -- thanks for letting me vent! That felt good! Please reconsider getting married onboard. You'll thank me later.

Why not? Cruse ships are one of the most romantic places to be. There might not be that many guests allowed, but that means it's very intimate.

Yes you absolutely can. The captain of the cruise ship has the authority to preform the ceremony. I didn't get married, but did have my vows renewed on a Princess cruise. They have a beautiful chapel and I have seen many others get married on the ship too. Just contact the cruise company you want to use and they will make all the arrangements from the flowers, to champagne and appetizers, or whatever you want. They can give you prices on what to expect.

wow
you are lucky. sure they have almost every kind of setting.while you are on the ship can stay on aboard for honey moon too for. 5 Night Western Caribbean Cruise for example deluxe could cost you just for the vacation part depend from where. $749-$809. balcony.$599-$659 on one the best ship royal l Caribbean.

Yes, you are able to get married on a cruise ship. I have had clients get married on the Princess and Regent. They loved it.
