Can you bring alcohol in your luggage on a Carnival cruise? Or do they check?

I think its allowed.. like in airplane dutyfree.. guessing..

I think you can get away with it. Be sure to pack it in your checked luggage though not your carry-on luggage. Also when packing it be sure to wrap it very tight and secure, you don't want it getting on your clothes. I would suggest wrapping it in some old towels or something like that then putting it in plastic bags then pack your other clothes around the bottes (for extra security). Hope this helped. Have a good time.

put it in your checked bags in soda bottles, as they seal better than water bottles...use the right color soda to match the booze.. i mix the booze with the soda so it is ready to drink..

I don't know why you would take alcohol, it's cheaper on the ship and on the island.... We always bring it home...make sure you wrap it carefully....

If you want to bring wine or champage, you can bring 1 bottle per person with no questions asked in your carry on luggagr. Any hard liquor, or in excess of 1 bottle of winer per person you will have to sneak on in your checked luggage.

I went on a Cruise on Carnival. And Me and My friends bought a sixpack of water bottles and dumped out all the water. and replaced it with Vodka and Rum and it worked like a charm. I found them to be very laxed. Some of my friends bought pain pills in mexico and brought it back on the ship. I was really surprised they seemed really relaxed.

You definitely have to put it in your checked luggage which is great because Carnival encourages everyone to put locks on their luggage. They x-ray it and if anything is suspicious ( like a bottle that looks like liquor) then once you board and get to your room they will ask you to unlock it for inspection. My husband and I used camping canteens. We also took a 12 pk of Coke and as long as the box wasn't opened they allowed us to carry it on. In total we smuggled 2 fifths of vodka and 2 fifths of rum on board. We purchased the unlimited soda card with souvenir cup so everytime we would order a soda, we would go downstairs to our room and add our alcohol to it. We did order beers from the cruise line which can be costly and when you go into the ports, if buy liquor, when you reboard, the ship searches your bags and confiscates your liquor until you're back from the cruise. The best way to sneak extra booze on board from ports is to buy the mini bottles and wear cargo pants to put them in. As long as you don't look like you're carrying a lot of stuff in your pockets then they won't search you.
