Can you leave the country when your 16, without parents?
Me and a few friends want to go on a mini cruise, and we are wondering if we can leave the country without our parents at the age of sixteen.
According to the website we are classed as adults so i don't know. Additional Details We live in England, we do have passports and on the website it says as we are 16 we are adults.
The cruise is a mini p and o ferries one with an optional over night stay.
Also do we have to get our parents permission?
How can we do this if so?
Will you be getting off in any other countries..? If so, you'll need to know what their immigration rules are. Some do NOT allow children of 16 to enter without an adult or permission from an adult.
You may be mistaken in your assumption that paying an adult fare (over 16) makes you an adult with all priveleges.
Most cruiseships, even in the UK will not allow kids at 16 to cruise by themselves.

Most cruise lines will not book you alone until you are 18 or sometimes even 21. You definitely need to get your parents' permission and even then you still may not be able to go.

Where do you live? What cruise? Do you have a passport?
Most real cruises you have to be 21 or 25 to book. Rental cars require you to be 25. But you said mini cruise so I'm not sure what that would be.

Check with your travel agent or the cruise line for regulations regarding passports.
