You can pay cash. First you need the deposit, then they will tell you when the total amount is due. Now when you board the ship, you have to give the purser a specif amount of cash or travelers checks to cover other expenses. I kind of find using cash a hassle and prefer using a credit card. On Princess, with a credit card you can do the whole cruise cashless if you want. Oh, usually they want a cruise paid in full about 90 days in advance.

you can pay anyway u want. just book through a travel agent and cash is fine. once on the ship they will require that you go to the pursers desk and place a deposit on then your bill because the shop, bars ect don't accept cash. they will give u a card to on the ship. i just booked my seventh cruise. enjoy.

you can pay cash if you go through a travel agent in there office but for the most part it's all online tied to a bank account like a debit card that the ship gives you now if u go off the ship some cash is good to have to buy things that you might want but for the most part no cash is used on the ships

Kim
Hey you answered my packing list question, and you asked a few questions at the end, well this isnt my first, so you dont have to say you will have fun, haha. im a part time world traveler, so im all over the place, lol. And im going on Carnival Cruise Lines, and the ship is Carnival Destiny, :]

You have to pay by debit card or credit card, and keep a debit card or credit card on file for them, so you can pay for whatever you want on the ship.

They don't use cash on the ship. They use what is called a SeaPass that is linked to your credit card or bank account. As you purchase drinks, etc, you are given a receipt/ticket and the charge is tendered on whatever account you have linked to the SeaPass card
