Can you rank cruise ship companies by average price?
Im looking for an average ranking from the most - least expensive cruise line (in general of course for an average stateroom)
Im talking the typical most common lines .... carnival, norwegian, royal, celebrity, princess, holland...
Thanks - its to clear up an arguement with a co-worker.
To answer the specific question you asked, of the "big 6" cruise lines, here is the ranking used in our office, in descending order:
1 - Celebrity
2 - Princess/Holland America (tie for 2nd place)
3 - Royal Caribbean
4 - Norwegian
5 - Carnival
I hope this information is helpful

Carnival is actually the parent company of:
Carnival
Princess
Windstar
Costa
Cunard
Holland America
Yachts of Seabourn
Of this portfolio, Carnival is the entry level cruise line.
RC is just above but not work the extra money, IMHO.

I hear that Carnival ranks among the cheapest. I have also hard lots of complaints about them. I go on Royal Caribbean. Great cruise line in the mid price range.
fodors.com may have information on this.

carnival is known as the cheapest with norwegian not far behind. I noticed that carnival cruises do not seem to port as much on their simular cruises to other cruise lines. for example most one week cruises have 4 ports but carnival only has 3 so you will be spending more money and time on the carnival ship than other lines this is why I prefer norwegian to carnival.
